Ginger Beet Moscow Mule Cocktail Recipe

Try a twist on traditional—this recipe is a spicier, earthier and slushier version of a Moscow Mule.

1/2 cup fresh pressed beet juice

1/2 in. fresh ginger, peeled and coarsely chopped

small bunch of cilantro (optional)

1 1/2 oz. tequila (or vodka)

crushed ice

tonic water

1/2 lime

thin beet slice for garnish


1. Add ginger and cilantro into a cocktail shaker, muddle well.

2. Add beet juice, lime juice and tequila, then fill shaker with ice.

3. Shake well and strain into a copper mug filled with crushed ice.

4. Top with sparkling tonic water and thinly sliced beet for garnish.

Modifications: Cocktail can be made with vodka as well. Looking for some extra kick? Add a slice or two of jalapeno into shaker for muddling.
