Why We Love It
Handcrafted in Behat, India, an ancient town known for its artisan community, this iron talla cowbell is a beautiful decor piece that also produces a serene sound. During a finishing process called "rasia," the bells are sprinkled with glass powder and brass, covered with a pulp of clay and jute and fired for 12 hours. After cooling in water, the blackened clay is removed leaving a golden patina that ages beautifully.
