Cost Plus World Market

Gifts that Give Back

Silaiwali

This social enterprise in Delhi provides employment to Afghan refugee women and uses upcycled apparel fabric waste. With this scrap fabric, they developed a collection of handmade dolls that were a big hit at the Ambiente trade show in Germany. Soon afterward, World Market commissioned SilaiWali to produce a unique line using scraps from our own clothing production. This has allowed them to hire even more women and grow their concept.

Handicraft Products La Selva
