Big Batch Jalapeño Margarita Recipe

2 jalapeño peppers, roughly chopped
1/2 cup sugar
1 bottle margarita mixer, chilled
1 1/2 cups Espolon Reposado Tequila
1/2 cup coarse sea salt
1 tbsp. World Market® Aleppo Pepper Spice
1 lime, zested and juiced, divided
optional: cilantro or mint sprigs, for garnish
For the simple syrup:
1. In a small saucepan, combine jalapeños, sugar and 1/2 cup water. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat and cool completely. Strain, discard jalapeños.
For the margaritas:
1. In a large pitcher, combine jalapeño simple syrup, margarita mixer and tequila.
2. In a shallow dish, stir together sea salt, Aleppo pepper and lime zest. Pour lime juice into another shallow dish.
3. To rim each glass, dip in lime juice then salt mixture. For each portion, fill a cocktail shaker with ice then margarita mixture. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds. Strain into glasses with or without ice. Garnish with an herb sprig and enjoy!
