Common Kitchen Substitutions
 
Yogurt
Use 1 tbsp of lemon juice and enough milk to equal 1 cup or 1 cup of sour cream.
 
Evaporated Milk
Simmer and reduce whole milk by 60%.
 
 
Molasses (1 Cup)
Use 1 cup of honey or 1 cup of corn syrup OR 3/4 cup of light or dark brown sugar dissolved in 1/4 cup liquid.
 
Whipping Cream (35%)
Use 3/4 cup of milk + 1/3 cup of melted butter.
