Romeo and Juliet, a dramatic love story that has become a classic. This Valentine’s Day we’re going to create a cocktail in honor of this tale that’s got a plot twist of its own: A bright pink concoction infusing complex bold flavors that no one will be expecting.

A Valentine’s Day Cocktail Infusing Tea for Two

Infusing drinks with tea is very on trend these days and we love the concept because it makes us feel like we’re being a little healthy during happy hour (one can pretend). Hibiscus tea is an amazing blend to work with, not only because of its stunning color, but also its ability to play well with other flavors. By adding a hint of lime. we’re turning up the tart notes of the tea while keeping it all balanced with a homemade rosemary simple syrup that adds a sweet woody note that you’d never expect to pair so well with smooth silver tequila.

This cocktail is tart and herbaceous, slightly floral, not to mention very smooth. Just like any good romance novel it’s full of twists and turns…basically you’re going to love every sip of it! It’s perfect to toast with in a sleek coupe during a date night for two, or as a big batch punch bowl cocktail for a ‘besties and a rom-com marathon.’ Either way, it’s a delicate and exciting flavor combination just right for celebrating Valentine’s Day and beyond.

When it comes to crowning your Valentine’s Day cocktail, a simple sprig of fresh rosemary will do. If you have a garden or herb box, try clipping a few blooming branches for an extra layer of elegance and romance. I don’t know about you, but if I were on the lookout for a creative and unique cocktail, I’d definitely swipe right on this beauty. Cheers!
