Fresh Fruit Salad with Honey Lime Vinaigrette is a gorgeous and delicious dish to serve at any bbq or picnic this summer. I have been making fruit salads ever since I was a kid; it was a staple as an afternoon snack, a side dish at a picnic or with weekend breakfast. I always volunteered to make the fruit salad, mostly because I wanted to eat it as I made it.

Now I prefer a citrus vinaigrette on fruit salad over whipped cream. I’m not saying I would pass up whipped cream by any means, but I prefer it for coffee or hot cocoa in the wintertime, or on a waffle with fresh strawberries.

The vinaigrette for this fruit salad is light and refreshing. Sweetened with honey and calamansi lime juice, a touch of Key lime juice, as well as lime zest, it works really well with all the fruits in this salad. The fruit can also be a bit on the underripe side and the vinaigrette sweetens them up just a touch.
