Pecan Pies have become a staple Thanksgiving family tradition over the past few years and in the spirit of celebrating nutty and rich flavors of the season, I thought we should turn this classic holiday dessert into a sophisticated cocktail to enjoy well into the New Year.
Bourbon is creamy to begin with, but by infusing it with a pecan coffee we can only expect great and bolder things. Infusing alcohol is quite simple – especially when using a flavored coffee that takes a fraction of the time than other herbations. Simply place whole beans or grounds into a cheesecloth, tie tight and allow to sit for as little as 30 minutes.
This cocktail is well rounded with flavor, perfect for serving at friendsgiving, and pairing with pre-turkey dinner festivities as well as hall-decking season. A traditional Old Fashioned is a classic, but this a playful way to add an unexpected holiday touch to a cocktail that will be a hit at all of your upcoming gatherings!
