Spring has sprung and we’re already in a summer state of mind. Let’s celebrate with a frosty drink and a vacation classic!

Since “Daiquirí” is also the name of a beach and an iron mine near Santiago de Cuba, we’re going to pack up a picnic basket and blanket, and set up shop in the backyard this weekend (not too far from the blender), with a big pitcher of rose-colored drinks.

This cocktail is an update on the classic daiquiri. The grenadine gives a sweetness to the tart limes, while the Maraschino liqueur adds an unexpected pop along with the smooth white rum. Depending on the occasion, you can kick back and casually serve the drink in a fun tumbler glass (don’t forget the party straws!), or serve a little icy sophistication in a glass coupe for a refreshing evening cocktail.

Cheers to switching things up and relaxing at home!
