With the new season upon us, we’re all looking for ways to stay healthy throughout the mad rush of the holidays. Luckily, we can turn to mother nature for some easy (and delicious!) ideas.

Both ginger and turmeric are known for their anti-inflammatory and immune system support properties, so we’re going to make an easy breezy tonic cocktail that can be stored in the fridge to take a swig when we need a little extra TLC. Plus, we can put a splash of tequila in it too! You know, on the weekends.

A Super Tasty Tonic Cocktail

Fresh pressed juice trends are still strong, and there’s no question it’s one of the easiest ways to get a heaping dose of goodness in one little glass. A lot of people don’t think about skipping the leafy greens and just press potent roots for a high octane shot of revitalization. Together ginger and turmeric are quite the zippy pair, so we’ll tame those flavors with fresh lemon juice and agave for a more balanced mix.

Some claim that drinking a tonic a few times of week increases energy not to mention keeps the germs away, but regardless of personal results it tastes like a glass of liquid sunshine which we could all use on a chilly autumn day. Simply pour your ginger and turmeric pressed juice over ice and add a little sparkling water for a healthy spritz.

And if you want to enjoy these benefits during happy hour, you can spike it with your favorite spirit of choice — we recommend a tequila, which tastes great with a little spicy sprinkle of cayenne pepper!
