Can you believe Easter is only a handful of weeks away? I know I’m excited, not least because each year I’m constantly impressed by all the creative Easter treats and desserts. So this year I’ve decided to make my own.
Super Neat Easter Treats
When you think of Easter, rich patches of pastel colors and the fragrance of flowers likely fills your imagination. It’s the time of warmth and saturation after the colorless winter. A time of renewal and reawakening after the cold, hibernative slumber of previous months.
Enter these cute little egg nests. Delicious, tiny chocolate eggs perched within a delicate coconut macaroon nest with a touch of caramel syrup. It’s a super tasty dessert that’s also quite visually pleasing. It’s great to display on your dessert table at Easter. You can even use them to create an enchanted scene as a centerpiece. One particularly great part of this recipe is the brown coconut sugar I added, which World Market conveniently carries. It not only adds to the coconut flavor in a wonderful way, but also gives these treats a deeper brown coloration which makes them resemble birds’ nests even more.
