Chunky oatmeal cookie mix that’s packed with flavor makes for a great gift for the holidays. It’s filled with World Market ginger chips, chocolate chips, nuts and oats! This simple cookie recipe will quickly become a hit in your family.
To make the mix:
Layer the dry ingredients in World Market Medium Glass Canister with Lid in following order: flour, oats, brown sugar, soda, cinnamon, allspice, salt, ginger chips, chocolate chips, nuts. Close the jar and tie a World Market Spoon Gift Tag with a Red and Green Baker’s Twine to the jar.
Write down the following ingredients list and instructions on a recipe card and include with the jar:
1 Oatmeal Cookie Mix
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 large egg
In a large mixing bowl, beat butter with an electric mixer for 30 seconds.
Add vanilla and egg and mix well. The mixture should look curdled.
Place all dry ingredients from the jar into a large mixing bowl and toss all together. Add to the butter and egg mixture and stir in until all is well mixed.
Cover the bowl with the dough and chill for 1 hour OR scoop the cookie dough onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet and freeze. Then transfer into a ziploc bag and keep in the freezer for up to 3 months.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Drop 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of dough onto the prepared sheet.
Bake for 12 to 15 mintues or until the edges are golden brown.
Cool for 10 minutes and transfer onto a cooling rack to cool compeltely.
Store in an air-tight container for up to 1 week.
