It’s finally that time of year where festive lights are covering most homes on my street, hot chocolate is being consumed almost daily, and playing holiday music is pretty much mandatory. I relish this time of the year for so many reasons: Not only do I get to wear cozy sweaters almost everyday, but I also get to make some of my favorite holiday treats, like mulled apple cider, sugar christmas cookies, and holiday fudge. Making fudge at home is a bit dangerous since it’s so easy to make, but even more so because it’s even easier to eat!

To get into the holiday spirit I added some chopped white chocolate and crushed candy canes; when mixed with the fudge they taste like a little piece of Christmas. The other great thing about this fudge is that it also makes for a wonderful Christmas gift. So if I have time, I like to go the extra mile and pack my fudge into little festive boxes, like these cute striped confectionery boxes. Whether you top your fudge with festive candies, toasted nuts, or even if you leave it plain, I promise you’ll end up with a holiday treat that everyone will love.
