Italian Night Done Right: Antipasti

It’s Italian Night and everyone’s hungry. Kick off the meal with an authentic Italian Antipasti platter, perfect for tempting their appetites. Translated to “before the meal,” your antipasti should include a selection of meats, olives, vegetables and cheese. It’s a simple way to showcase the wonderful, simple flavors found in some of Italy’s most beloved small bites.

First, stop by World Market’s Italian Mercato to select an assortment of cured meats, marinated vegetables, olives and breads.

Slice a baguette into thin slices, brush with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and toast on a cookie sheet until crisp. This will make a wonderful bruschetta base for delicious spreads for our Bomba Amore and Nduja, a spreadable salami.

Wrap bread sticks in prosciutto and thin ribbons of melon, created with a vegetable peeler. Arrange everything on a large platter or cutting board for an appetizing display.
