Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year! Although I don’t dress up and go out trick or treating like I once did, I love dressing up our home for the holiday for some spooky curb appeal. There’s nothing like a first impression, and my Halloween door is no exception!
The decorating starts at the front door. Do you dare venture onto the porch into our haunted boneyard to claim a Halloween treat?
You’ll have to get past lots of creepy creatures to claim your candy prize….
And before I show you how I transformed our entry into a spooky Halloween door scene using skeletons, ghastly creatures and other decor, I should probably show you what the space looked like before, decorated for fall.
A serene scene, yes?
That was before all the undead moved in!
I made the scene more spooky with Hanging Angel Ghost, a Vulture on Perch and the Classic Hanging Skeleton and the Los Muertos Reversible Indoor Outdoor Rio Floor Mat, then layered in lots of other scary details.
I decorated the area above the front door with some white painted branches and Spider Web String Lights.
What’s that creeping around my stack of pumpkins and mums?
That Cat Skeleton is hunting some fresh prey.
But it looks like the Rat Skeleton is safe for now.
Who knows what will happen to the trick or treaters who try to get by these guys?
