We’re stocking our pantries and readying our cooking and baking tools to prepare for Thanksgiving. But with all the activity centered around the kitchen, it’s easy not to put as much effort into our Thanksgiving decor. Thank goodness for Brooke of LURLY, who created a laid-back yet stylish tablescape that’s perfect for the big feast—without all the stress and fuss!
“When I was growing up, we never started our Thanksgiving meal without lighting several candles,” says Brooke, who created woodblock candleholders marked with words fit for the big meal, like blessed, thankful and grace.
Brooke also recommends upping your dessert table game with a simple addition: a rustic farmhouse chalkboard. To create the chalkboard menu, she rubbed some chalk on the eraser and “erased” the board before writing down the menu to create a more authentic, well-worn look, and added “be grateful” on top to set the tone for the big feast. (Because that’s what it’s all about, right?)
