Any crafty person will surely agree: holiday entertaining lends itself nicely to creativity. One of our favorite ways to take the holiday tabletop from meh to magnificent while making all of your guests feel extra special, is to create a folded napkin display at each place setting. This Christmas tree napkin fold is so clever — and it’s surprisingly simple to replicate!
So put on some holiday tunes (we recommend starting with O Christmas Tree!) to get in the Christmas spirit, grab a Linen Table Napkin to practice with, and we’ll show you how to transform it into an unforgettable place setting accent you can use throughout the season.
Christmas Tree Napkin Fold in 7 Steps
What you’ll need:
Fold the napkin in half, two times.
Place the napkin with the open point pointing towards you.
Fold the first flap up to the top point and repeat with all other flaps. Leave a little fabric showing between each fold.
Carefully flip over the folded side so you now see the smooth side.
Pull both corners in to meet each other in the middle. Once done, flip back over.
Begin folding each point under the fold above it, we started at the top. Repeat for all flaps.
Set on place setting and add a cinnamon stick for the “trunk” and a star anise to top it off!
