This sweet and salty combo is a real treat, and our Silicone Bark Pan keeps it simple.
Follow our Simple Recipe
Melt butter in a medium-sized sauce pan over medium heat. Once butter is melted, add brown sugar, light corn syrup and sweetened condensed milk to the pan. Cook, stirring constantly for about 8 minutes. To see if the caramel is ready, drop a small amount into a bowl of ice water. If it has cooked long enough it will form soft ball. Take care not to cook the caramel too long or it will be too hard. When it reaches the right consistency, remove the caramel from the heat and add vanilla and sea salt.
Melt half of the chocolate in the microwave in a microwavable bowl and stir in half of the corn syrup. Spoon melted chocolate into the silicone bark pan. Top with caramel. Melt the remaining chocolate in the double boiler and stir in the remaining corn syrup. Spoon chocolate over all in the bark pan. Allow to harden for several hours or overnight. Store uncovered.
Place your bark in a pretty box or bag, then tie on a tag with ribbons or twine for a fantastic finishing touch.PRINT RECIPE ›
