The Island Blend of the World market coffee is very good. A medium bean that can easily be used for both breakfast and evening enjoyment.
Reasonable price on it too.
The only thing that would make this coffee better is if i could buy it in the store, or order it on-line and ship to shore without shipping costs. Then the price becomes great instead of simply reasonable.

This is my current favorite for brewing in my Bodum French Press. I love its richness and flavor, and it is very smooth. I prefer a low-acidity coffee and this fits the bill. I grind it at the store, then store it in 4-5 portions well-sealed in my freezer (I know, a no-no, but it works) until I am ready for them. Definitely recommend if you like strong, smooth coffee that doesn't kick you.

I suppose under different circumstances, I would appreciate this coffee's bold taste and texture. However, World Market has spoiled me with their delicious coffee selection and I found this particular blend too thick and dense for my personal taste. I have to greatly water it down if I want to use it with my French press as it's so strong. Another thing I noticed was that when I opened the bag the beans seemed quite dry and dark as opposed to a richer color with a slight oily texture that I've seen with many other whole bean blends. I think their description as a "medium roast" is somewhat misleading as it tastes quite strong and has a relatively acidic aftertaste. By no means is this a bad blend, it's just not what I gravitate towards for whole bean coffee.

I was looking forward to this coffee coming, this blend and the Sumatra, which I will review by itself. First it is advertised as a medium roast, and looked and smelt like a dark roast, when I brewed the blend, it had a darker smell and taste to it, but the one thing that I like about blended coffee that was missing was it smoothness, it had a bitter after taste to it and did not meet my expectation. It value was good and the shipping and handling of this product was excellent!

I've tried almost all of the World Market coffees prior to this one, and was quite disappointed when opening it and finding it to be much more of a dark roast than the medium roast it was labelled as. I'm not a big dark roast fan and would have passed on it had it been labelled as such. Too bitter for my tastes, though I did end up using some of it for cold brewing, which turned out pretty good.
