Why We Love It

A charkha, or spinning wheel, was once used for spinning cotton. Mahatma Ghandi even used the charkha as a way to reject dependence on English machinery. In Rajasthan, India, we found one of a few charkhas bearing the unique markings of its spinner and features different carvings, making each piece truly unique. Repurposed as a decor piece, this objet d'art has a storied past and makes a fitting conversation piece.
