So glad I ordered this table. The color is perfect and it's very sturdy and super easy to put in the extension. The color shown on the internet is true to the actual color.

I love the look of this table and the bases seem to be good quality, it's a heavy table and was easy to assemble. However, the top is coated with a laminate and the coating is cracked in several places on mine and I assume it will chip off easily due to the cracking. I'm disappointed in the fact that the top is a laminate that appears to scratch, crack, and chip off easily. I expected better quality for the price. I'm not even sure how to properly clean the table without messing up the laminate coating on top :-/

I've been eying similar tables at other stores that were not in my budget. I paid around $721.00 with a 25% off code for this table, which was less than half of what I would have paid for a similar table from other stores.
The table is solid and heavy. It was super easy to assemble with two people--less than 20 minutes.
When we first pulled it out of the box, I was disappointed. Online, it looks like real wood. In reality, it's some sort of distressed laminate veneer. At night (prior to assembling it# next to our beautiful new hickory floors, it looked like cheap plastic...almost like a fisher price toy. We decided to assemble it to see what it looked like, and I'm so glad I did. Assembled, it somehow looks better.
During the day, it looks like real wood. with night time lighting, it doesn't look as nice.
Now for the ugly...the fold-in leaf mechanism on our table arrived with a broken dowel. We were still able to use and lock in the leaf, but it doesn't swing open properly. It's such a big hefty table, I'm considering just dealing with it, because the through of exchanging it seems daunting. Also, the veneer is slightly chipped in a couple of places. The table is so rustic, it isn't really noticeable.
The description says that it seats 10. I think that's a stretch. More like 8 comfortably, with the leaf in. Also, be aware that the placement of the pedestal legs on the end make it impossible to tuck a chair all the way in. There are a lot of tall men in my family, and I'm not they'll be able to sit at the ends comfortably.
Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. It fit my budget. It's not a high-quality item, but is sturdy enough that it should serve it's purpose for the next 10 years #or until I'm craving a new look). If you are looking for a family heirloom, look elsewhere. But for the price, I personally didn't expect better.

I love the idea of this table, however, it arrived today and I'm not completely sold. Although is says "solid wood" they fail to mention that the table top isn't nearly as thick as the surrounding edges. So while it LOOKS very thick and sturdy the top is thin. The wood used to frame the top is about 1" thick.....the rest isn't even 1/2" thick. I'm worried how it will hold up with rowdy kids. Also, whatever it's stained/painted with isn't sealed well. You can EASILY scratch it. Like hard finger nail pressure can leave a mark. Kind of disappointing when I paid over $800.00 to get it to me WITH a discount. Would have been nice to see it in store. but my store (which is already 45 minutes away) won't be getting it. They kindly offered to order it for me....with a 25% non-refundable deposit :/ which was more costly than the shipping + surcharge. Not sure yet what I'll do with it. That being said the color in the pictures is spot on. It looks nice, just not sure it's quality.......

I had my eye on this table for months when it became available online. I was nervous to order a table that I have never seen in person, but the employee at World Market assured me that if I was not happy with the table I can return it and recieve a full refund.
It was on sale and I had a coupon for an additional discount off the sale price. I took the plunge and ordered the table. All that was required was a deposit (30%-then pay the balance at pickup). It came within 1 week and my husband put it together without any help no problem. Although, I was very happy with the design of the table. I was VERY disappointed in the finish. It looked fake and cheap. The table top was overly done with the "rustic" finish. Like the previous comments said it looked like a toy. I left the table up for about 3 weeks trying to see if I would get used to it and come to love my table, but I just couldn't.
We took the table back and the employee informed me that I won't get my deposit back since it was a special order. Thankfully, I remembered the employee that ordered the table for me stating I will get my full refund back and I let her know what I was told. Without a problem she ended up giving me my full refund back.
I have ordered several big pieces of furniture from World Market and have been completely happy, but it's a lesson learned that I will never purchase furniture without seeing it in person.
