After reading all reviews, we bought this color and are very happy. We don't kid ourselves about assembling things & hired our handyman to do it. He did not have any difficulty. Also the piece was packed extremely well surrounded by ridged styrofoam and composite board. There is a rough spot on the front of the cabinet about the size of a quarter. It was not worth having to replace the item, but it also why we didn't give a 5 star rating. It is very attractive and doors & drawers work well. There were extra parts and all were clearly marked. We are really very happy that we chose this. And the price is fabulous!

The console is a beautiful dark cherry wood - exactly as described. Love the style, size, and quality of wood. It fits our large receiver box if tilted sideways to set inside and then have to install the shelf afterward. But it works. Our only complaint is that it took a lot of time to assemble. Nothing is pre-assembled at all. there are about 12 different bags of hardware. If you are willing to put in the labor to assemble, its worth it... The finished product is great.

This piece is pretty - maybe a little more brown and a little less red than depicted in the photo. I mostly take issue with it being not very sturdy seeming in the long run. We've had to move it a few inches away from the wall a few times because of needing to get to the plugs and now it is permanently gapped on one side and looks like it could fall apart at any time. It hasn't yet - but I don't like seeing it crooked with the hardware sticking out. I would only buy this if you never ever plan to move it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by disappointed shopper NOT solid wood as advertised
The description specifically says solid wood. There may be a couple of pieces that are solid wood; however the majority of this piece is mdf with a veneer. For the price I didn't expect top quality--but did expect to get what was advertised.
On another note, I (woman) was able to assemble by myself--one tricky part when installing the sides, but not sure why other two reviewers had problems.
