Why We Love It

Deliciously robust, Typhoo Decaf Tea is perfected during a unique decaffeination process that gently removes most of the caffeine without sacrificing flavor. Launched in 1903 by Birmingham, England grocer John Sumner, and originally sold as a cure for indigestion, Typhoo is still one of Britain's favorite teas.

Now, that's tea! I absolutely love this tea. The first sip I took, I said to myself, "Now, that's how 'real British tea' should taste!" (Or, at least, how I always imagined it would taste; this Anglophile's not made it to England yet.) I drink my tea black, no sweeteners, just the pure, bold taste of a good strong cup o' tea. I have to buy decaf, though, so I suppose it's not 100% authentic without the caffeine, but who cares? I am delighted to have discovered this tea. And it's even affordable, which is good, since I MUST have a constant supply! (I'm drinking a pot of it even as I type these words. Well, okay, I stop typing for a moment to take a sip. Or rather, I stop sipping for a moment to type. ;-)) If you like a strong, fortifying cup (or pot--one's never enough) of real, authentic tea, this one's for you. By the way, they didn't offer an answer for "How often do you use this product?" that was more than once a week, or I'd have said several times a week, especially in winter. January 29, 2013
Finally! A decaf tea that tastes good! I have had to switch to decaf tea for most of my tea drinking (and I drink a lot of iced tea!). Typhoo gives me a decent tasting brew. I was getting awfully tired of weak tea after I switched to decaf, now I can enjoy my tea again. March 30, 2011
