I've been slowly replacing everything in my kitchen with vintage items, but the tea kettle for whatever reason was the one thing I was a little weird about getting as a "used" item. I stumbled upon this kettle and thought it would be perfect. It had exactly the right look I was going for and had a great price, too. I received it yesterday afternoon.
Very light weight. The color is more blue (a darker blue, not exactly turquoise). The bottom is not flat so I'm not sure it will work well on glass top stoves.
This tea kettle looks exactly as pictured. it was a little lighter in weight than I had expected for enamel but still functions great. After third use I noticed a slight pin hole that water leaks out of if I leave water in it. So I just do not leave water in it. I could return it for a new one but just figured for the price I paid I would just deal with it. Looks really nice on my new cranberry stove.
