Heat a mug of water to desired temperature for your tea, fill the tea infuser 1/2 full of your favorite loose leaf tea, plop in and a wonderfully warm cup anytime, anywhere. After steeping, push handle to squeeze out liquid from tea as it rests on top of your mug. Can be reused for 2nd cup of tea. So easy to open and tap to discard tea; no mess.

I was so excited to get this tea infuser. I usually use tea bags for my tea and the description of this item states you can use it with loose tea or with tea bags. It's always a bit messy when you need to remove the bag from your mug, so I thought this was the perfect solution. I was wrong. The space in the infuser doesn't allow enough space for the tea in the bag to bloom, nor does it allow enough flow of water through the infuser and tea to properly steep. I was very disappointed when I made my first cup of tea, as it was very weak. I tried again, and used the infuser to stir the water, thinking this would allow the tea to permeate the water more effectively - but it didn't really do much of anything. I think this would probably work fine with loose tea, but for my purposes, it's just not effective.
