Sweet Pea Apple Peach Wine 2.3 5 3 3
Good to this inexperienced wine drinker I'm no wine connoisseur, that much is certain. I'm a fairly new wine drinker, and have mostly dabbled in Rieslings because they're all I can stand. I bought this wine on a whim because it looked interesting. I had never heard of apple wine before, and it was in my price range - about $7 for the bottle. I came home, looked the wine up on the internet & got nervous after reading all the negative reviews both here & at Total Wine. Decided I had to try for myself & it turns out I actually really really love this wine! As a sweet wine drinker, this is perfect for me. Most wine, even my favorite Riesling, has too much of a bite and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I like that this is really smooth and sweet. The initial smell and flavor is strange, but after taking a few sips, it becomes clear that what you're smelling and tasting is apple. It leaves a good, sweet aftertaste and makes me want to keep drinking. I rarely finish a bottle of wine, but I can see myself actually finishing this one! Overall, I think this wine is worth a try if you like sweet wine and have struggled to find a wine that you like - maybe the apple wine niche will work for you like it did for me! August 20, 2014
Taste like vinegar Was expecting a nice crisp refreshing taste and got vinegar instead. Nothing sweet, apple, or peachy on my palate. Will use as vinegar substitute. July 24, 2014
No. Just no. This was my first foray into apple wine, and not to be dramatic, but I honestly took one sip and almost spit it out. Maybe I'm just not used to apple wine and it's an acquired taste just like all wine? Totally possible, but for now, it just tastes like soap to me :( June 29, 2014
