Rated 1 out of 5 by Failed High Hopes Daily cook hoped for at least a couple of years service. One of lids started falling out almost immediately. Then one side of grinder would bind at times and a plastic or silicone ring inside broke within a few months of multiple daily use. Also unit must be refilled at least weekly as compartments are too small to hold sufficient amount for cooks use. May suffice for table service as it is sleek and nice lokking, just not a practical reliable tool for a cooks kitchen. August 28, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Fell apart in less than a year I was really excited about this grinder because I could have my salt and pepper in one unit. For almost a year it worked great, though I was started to get tired of regular refilling due to the small size of each compartment. Then it started failing. First, one of the lids started being so loose that it fell off as soon as it was turned over. Then the grind adjuster on one side started coming off and I would have to put it back on and readjust every time I used it. The last straw was when I was cooking and the grind adjuster, grind mechanism, and spring just fell out and into my sauce! Luckily it was the pepper side so I got a few whole peppercorns instead of a pile of salt, but this thing is now in the trash and I'm shopping for something that will last more than a year.
