Rated 5 out of 5 by ShopoholicReviewer Small and cute. Perfect for single person I am happy with the product. The glass top lid really helps you know what it contains without opening. It saves oodles of space. Also buy two and you can stack then one over the other. I prefer small ones to the larger ones since it can be stacked on my other similar sized canisters. The container is pretty airtight. I am very happy and will definitely recommend this to my friends. August 15, 2013

My friend did say an original masabi-asabi box was much larger, but this would come in handy for his condiments (almost the same as spices) January 25, 2013

They are so expensive to order online and a pain to have one brought from India. I'd never seen them in person, even in Indian groceries. So, imagine my delight when I saw this the other day! I snatched it up and went straight to the checkout! High quality stainless steel, very clear high grade plastic insert for viewing. You can't go wrong and it looks beautiful on the counter. Rated 4 out of 5 by mals Fun, Attractive & Handy Yes, this is smaller than the usual masala dabba - that's partly why I like it. It cost less and takes up less space. I do have a larger one - I keep whole spices in it and keep ground spices in this one. I find it very handy. I can't imagine why another poster would want to travel with this but yes, it's not tightly sealed and the spice cups could spill. The one I bought had an extra piece of heavy, stiff plastic that fit inside. I kept that as an inner lid to help ensure against spilling and so far have had no problem. I really like this and am very glad I bought it. The clear top makes it easy to see what's inside and what's running low. November 20, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jerry Has limited application Overall a nice stainless steel box. There is no way to travel with this box. The tins are not the same size and don't seal to the lid when the box is closed. There would be mixed spices if the box was ever moved off the counter or turned upside down. Buy one with a double lid to seal things when traveling. Or use this one with whole grind as you go spices that wouldn't make a mess. September 12, 2013
