Stackable Square Glass Jars with Lids 4.1 5 9 9
great value I first purchased a few of these when I was on vacation in CA and packed them for the 3000 mile journey home. One had broken ( I dropped it at home) and I finally got around to ordering more. I ordered many more. They were all packed so well and I honestly thought the amount they charged to handle and ship the items was more than fair! Not one broke, cracked, etc... Love this store and will look to buying more items again! Thank you! January 6, 2015
So Happy! I love these glass jars and because they are stackable, you can keep your pantry tidy. I plan on purchasing more. August 21, 2014
I love these jars! I have been looking for a unique glass square jar for my scrubs and I'm so happy my hair stylist recommended this company to me. I ordered the 2 smallest sizes as I wasn't certain which one would be best, and I love them both! I love that they are not the typical round glass jar. They have a nice flat base making them the perfect vessel to use for stacking/displaying many items, and they have good weight to them, so they are sturdy, but are not too heavy. I am using mine (the 27oz.) on a glass shelf in the Master bath to hold my salt scrub, and it blends in well with my other crystal accessories. When they arrived to my home, the packaging on these was much more than had I expected. They were wrapped so well - I appreciate the care and effort it took to do this to ensure these products arrived safely and quickly - which they did! The only negative I can say, is that I wish a bulk discount would be offered, however, the prices are very good for ordering smaller quantities. Overall, I am truly happy and impressed with this company and this product, so much so, that I am placing another order for more of these jars today! I love them! Thank you World Market for offering these items and for your quick service! May 2, 2014
Beautiful and functional These jars exceeded expectations. I was looking for glass square stackable containers to create a kitchen backsplash with ingredients. They are slightly wobbly and don't lock in, but are fairly stable on top of one another. I'd recommend not picking them up by the lids because they can slip off, but they do appear to be airtight. Best value I've found. March 5, 2014
Classy! These jars are very classy looking and have an airtight seal. I put some of my loose items everyone has in their kitchen in them. Tea, spices, rice and noodles. It's a great way to store mundane looking things and make them look really beautiful. September 7, 2013
Multi-use glass storage jars! These are great glass jars for storing anything. I used these in my bathroom for a spa look for cotton swabs and cotton balls. I will be purchasing more (for many other uses). Heavy duty and contemporary! May 1, 2013
The storage jars fit my storage bins exactly! Great price, speedy delivery for exactly what I needed. Enough said! March 31, 2013
NOT AIR TIGHT! Highly recommend if being air tight is not important. These have sleek modern lines lending to easy clean up & a modern look. If you are short on space in the kitchen this will help with that. They are compact & do stack nicely atop of each other. The glass is thick & durable. I can see it lasting years, even with a few bumps & bangs. These would also be well used in the bathroom to store swabs, etc., if a clean & modern style fits your decor. I really wanted to love these. I was keeping everything I could crossed that the "air tight" claims were true & was so disappointed to find out that are not. To start with I ordered 1 dozen of the various sizes. They were received in 3 HUGE boxes & packaged very well. Overkill. My UPS guy laughed when he saw what was in 1 box (he was curious what could be in such a huge box & feel like almost nothing). I guess my previous complaints on poor packaging & broken goods were taken to heart! Thanks WM, but let's be sensible now. I'm experiencing some major tropical weather where the humidity is killer, so the very first thing I did was unwrap a jar & take it over to the kitchen sink for the air tight test (submerge it under water & see if water gets in). I didn't even need to do that. I had been interrupted & left the jar w/ lid on in the sink. Later I noticed that water was in the jar just from running the tap a few seconds over the lid. I unwrapped a few more jars & all failed. It was not a surprise as the rubber ring was around the lip of the jar is very stiff & the lid comes off quite easily. Later I came across a manufacturer's response to a complaint about other supposed "air tight" jars not being so & failing the water test I had performed. They basically said that the jars are "air tight," that if one did not want liquids to enter that they would need a hermetically sealed jar. That left me scratching my head. I mean if a seal is tight enough not to let an air molecule in, shouldn't it be able to prevent liquids from entering? In effort to be fair I decided to test them out another way. I just so happened to be restoring my desiccant (I have the little blue balls that turn pink when they suck up the moisture from the AIR). I filled the jar with the freshly restored desiccant & put in the cupboard where I would store my food. Long story short my blue balls turned pink! Which means that air was getting in & that these are NOT air tight (there was enough desiccant in there that little air trapped in the jar with them would not have caused as much change as occurred over the several days). They lasted several days longer than just an open bowl I have in the linen & accessory closets, much larger spaces by volume & completely open, so... if you want fresh food for items that will be stored more than a few days these are not a good buy no matter how cheap they are. The salt I took from an old Tupperware container also clumped up. There was no such problem when stored in the Tupperware for a significant time longer. Am not looking forward to the hassle of those HUGE boxes. Will at least be able to use 2 or 3 for my Borax & Washing Powder that do not require absolutely freshness. btw... these may not be good for households with little ones who may try to help themselves to whatever goodies that you have stored in them or for anyone who is busy & may be absent minded enough to grab the jar by the top instead of the jar itself. I can see lots of spills & tipping over when in a rush, as the lid comes off fairly easily & especially so on tile. August 19, 2014
