I bought 80 of these to fill with a homemade spice mix for wedding favors. The ceramic lids are a beautiful soft green and I also bought 80 of the pretty turquoise ones. The jars are cute and a nice size. Unfortunately 8 of them had chips in the ceramic or malfunctioning wire clasps. The clasps were a little fragile and the seal is not completely air tight as you can smell the spice when it is clasped. Generally they worked fine for my purpose and as I said, they're cute. (except for the broken ones)
Only problem was that the top edges of the bottles were sharp and cut my finger.
I saw these featured in one of the magazines I subscribe to and thought they would look perfect in my newly-remodeled kitchen. I ordered 2 sets to go along with the spice rack, and I was not disappointed! Thus far, the lids seal tightly and should do a great job keeping my spices fresh.
I needed cute spice jars to be displayed in a painted spice rack on my kitchen counter. Size and looks were both important. These jars met both qualifications. Lids are green ceramic, the hinge to open and close the jar is a bit cheap but for the price more, than adequate. They look great!!!
I really liked these jars, they are so cute. They were a good value since shipping was free. On other sites the jars may be cheaper, but the shipping was outrageous. I bought a lot of spices in Istanbul and wanted to give some away as gifts so I didn't want them to big and I wanted them to be cool looking, and they fit that criteria. I will probably end up buying more if the shipping is still free!
