I am happy with the decision to go with the white lampshade! It looks fantabulous with the brushed chrome nightstand lamp bases. I only purchased one shade and the store in San Luis Obispo only had one left. Still trying to acquire the second to match. Great buy for the money!

I agree w/ the previous reviewer about the weird green-brown color cast once the lamp is turned on. It's a shame too, as the lamp shade looks great when the lamp is off & the texture/material (which seems to be some sort of thick paper) looks really great & not cheap in the least...& the price was fantastic. However, once you turn is on, it has a not-so-attractive greenish-brown cast (check out my pic...note the plastic packaging is still on the lamp in the pic, but is is clear & didn't make a difference in the color as I peeled it a bit in the back to see).
Bummer...will be exchanging for the white burlap one. (Hopefully I can, as I bought it months ago, but just found a home for the lamp & this shade). If the weird color doesn't bother you, it's otherwise a good shade.

Rated 1 out of 5 by kbn22 Would be great, except that it's not really white
This shade looks great at first - a simple white shade, with a small amount of texture. However, when the light is turned on, the lamp's true color reveals itself - it gives off a strongly greenish brownish cast. I'm at a loss to explain how something can look so white in natural light, yet such a dramatically different color when the light is turned on. Unless greenish brownish is what you're going for, skip this shade.
