Always baked from scratch until I discovered World Market products, always such good quality ... get more than what you see or pay for. So I took the plunge and sad to say my baking from scratch just didn't get me the results I got with this Pound Cake Mix ... taste and texture way better! I tried ordering more, waiting for the new shipment to come in. Try it, you'll be glad you did!!!

If you like the scent of lavender you will love this mix. I was able to lighten it up by substituting plain apple sauce for the butter. The end result was more like a tea bread than a pound cake but still amazing. The lavender is subtle, but present, and both my husband and I adored it. Next time, and there will be a next time, I'm going to try substituting Greek yogurt (plain) for the butter.
