THE STORY BEHIND IT

Embossed Jewel Lanterns

Handcrafted Wonders of India

Hailing from Uttar Pradesh, a small town in Northern India, a community of skilled artisans called Thathera works together to create our stunning Embossed Jewel Lanterns. To begin, hot lacquer is poured into a handmade mold. The gorgeous metal is then carved, chiseled, hammered, and embellished until the design is fully realized. Roughly five days are needed for the creation of each individual lantern.

Because of the handcrafting process, each piece carries its own slightly unique design details, adding to the special nature of these beautiful and traditional lanterns. Here at World Market, we relish the opportunity to bring unique items like this, along with the age-old traditions behind them, to you at an affordable price. We just can't wait for you to illuminate your own space with this one-of-a-kind, handcrafted piece, introducing a touch of global beauty and wonder into your home.

Small Clear Star Lantern 5 5 1 1
Beautiful accents I got these stars to hang in our front windows for the holidays, but I like them so much I've decided to keep them there year round! I bought the no-flame tea lights to go in them, and they're beautiful all lit up. January 24, 2013
