It is not flimsy and made it through bad packaging from the store (it was just rolling around in the box and was secured only by a cutout cardboard at the top) and me turning it over numerous times. I absolutely adore it! Now it is tempting to get the bigger one and hang it somewhere else! August 27, 2015

I bought the ceiling kit at lowes and it worked perfectly. The ceiling kit at world market was sold out. The shells give off a beautiful warm light. April 16, 2015

Rated 1 out of 5 by littlekob Buyer Beware This disintegrates in your hands. Just plain falls apart. The look of this was perfect for our daughter's room, but as we were hanging it from the ceiling hooks, it bounced a little bit and the frame that holds the bulb just fell apart and separated from the shell shade. It was welded together with vinyl, not soldered as one would think. The frame is made of some sort of cheap stretchy vinyl pretending to hold together the capiz shells. It is far too expensive for how poorly it is constructed. I ended up duct taping it together, which is not attractive, but who has time to mess around and ship things back these days? Not me. I buy many things from World Market and have been very pleased with everything thus far, with the exception of this purchase. We were wishing we had purchased the inexpensive paper lamp shades, and may end up doing that if the duct tape doesn't hold. A very disappointing product. November 14, 2014
