The shuttered doors are great for this purpose, so as to help guard against the equipment overheating. My cabinet was unfortunately damaged in transit, but customer service handled the matter promptly and with courtesy. I can't get over how lovely the grain of the wood is, it's really striking. I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of color, but for your reference the wood is varying shades of muted toffee with a smooth matte finish. The metal is not quite raw-looking, but provides a beautiful contrast with the wood. The back of the cabinet is solid wood, in case you are interested in drilling holes in the back for cords like we did. I'll be honest, it was almost a shame to drill into it- that's how pretty the wood is! I definitely recommend this cabinet. March 11, 2015

I am happy with the design, durability and the cost of the product. It fits the intended decor of the office to be a modern and rustic. Sturdy? Which many other similar items we looked at were not. The shelf may not hold many many pounds but sufficient for most needs. November 4, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by caligal unusual piece i have the larger sideboard and wanted to extend it by adding the smaller one which is unfortunately not available in the stores. it is sturdy and very roomy. i've received a lot of compliments on it. i just wish it was also in the stores. the cost of shipping plus the surcharge made me think about it for a long time before i actually bought it. I think it is still on the pricy side for what you get, but over all it is sturdy and the metal frame gives it a nice touch. Now I get to keep more booze in the house! October 9, 2013
