bought this in combo with the shell mini chandelier ( to get free shipping) and it was a great buy. Works, easy installation and the silver is a nice departure from black and white.

The pro of this item is its easy compatibility with WM pendants. As far as installation, it goes up pretty much like any other ceiling fixture. I know some folks are grousing about the cord being long, but it's meant to be adjustable. If you can't figure out how to shorten the cord, you probably shouldn't be messing with wiring anyway and should call a pro.
My big beef is how cheap and plasticy the visible cord is. It looks like old stereo speaker wire from the 60s. It ships with the cord all folded up, leading to kinks that are nearly impossible to fully remove.
I'm thinking of replacing the cord on mine with some nice cloth-wrapped vintage-looking cord. Suggest WM look at a similar change!

We purchased this to go along with the large capiz chandelier. While we LOVE the chandelier, we were disappointed that this wiring kit was simply that: a wire. It really looked lame in comparison to the gorgeous light, so we ended up buying a nicer looking one from Home Depot for about $30 (one that has an actual rod, rather than just the electrical cord). We have this item packed up and ready to return to World Market.
