The Artistic Luster of Mercury Glass
The iridescence of mercury glass, also known as silvered glass, adds artistic appeal to décor. Mercury glass is produced when glass is double-walled blown with a solution of liquid silver in between the layers of glass and sealed, causing a brilliant, "silvered" effect. Throughout Eastern and Western Europe in the mid-19th and early 20th century, artisans began to decorate these glass pieces with paintings, engravings and etchings. We're simply dazzled by the luminous creations of mercury glass. From tableware to decorative pieces such as our selection of ornaments and lamps, mercury glass is a unique way to bring luxury to any space.
