The color is not sage as mentioned; much lighter than the photo; however, it seems to take on the hue of it's surroundings. I purchased two lamps for our bedroom to sit on top of gunmetal grey steel tables and dark grey and pale harbor (aqua) sheets; it's perfect! It appears to have the same tint as the pale harbor sheets and complements the dark grey. The switch IS a bit awkward in location; however, I connected the lamps to extension cords hidden behind my headboard to allow easier accessibility to switch...so it works for me!

I really wanted to love this lamp. If it had arrived looking like the photo online I think I would have. The glass, however, doesn't look green at all. It's more of a grayish blue- in fact, the color on the side of the box says "smoky grey" (but that is mentioned nowhere in the item description online).
The other issue I have is that the on/off switch is halfway down the lamp cord, not at the top of the lamp. This could work fine in some cases, but when being used on a table where the lamp cord will run down beside furniture, it would be nearly impossible to turn this lamp on without having to nearly get down on the floor. No bueno.
