CUTE! on the first set i purchased, the top didnt fit one of the dolls(they are handmade! its kinda figured!), but the associates were very helpful in an exchange and the new set is perfect. i love that it is unique and colorful! it is functional but still looks cute enough that i can leave it out as decor! im re-doing my kitchen decor around these! :) June 11, 2012
Old World Measurments These are super cute measuring cups but despite what measurements they're listed on they're extremely inaccurate. The one-cup cup is grossly over a standard cup size. If you plan on backing with these.... don't. Baking requires very accurate measurements and these aren't. They're more like what I'd call an "grandmother's" measurements... someone who's been cooking for so long starts eyeballing measurements and eventually just finds their own personal definition of "a cup" or "a half cup". And that's what these are. I'm sure they're great for down home cooking where measurements are less integral but don't expect any high chef quality out of them. Another complaint I have about them is that they're made incorrectly. They don't actually stack. They rest on top of each other but don't close and so the top bits are always falling off the lower bits and risk breaking. They haven't yet, but they haven't fallen far yet. I think they're cute and I bought mine for decoration because I collect matroyshka dolls. But they're extremely shoddy craftsmanship and design. There are pits in the ceramic glaze, even.
