Rated 5 out of 5 by Just what I needed! I wanted something casual and rustic to put in a spare/family room. Didn't want to worry about glasses/feet being placed on it to watch TV and this is perfect. It's well made and the drawer opening from both sides is a plus. It was expertly packed and was delivered much quicker than anticipaated--3 days instead of 14! The fact that it was on sale made it even better. Great buy! January 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is a beautiful, substantial, rustic table! I took a chance on this table because I couldn't go check it out in any nearby stores, and no reviews, but I have no regrets. The price was half off and it's worth more than I paid. Its rustic but smooth. The size is great- it would suit even a large, overstuffed sofa. The drawer opens on both sides and that awesome hardware is on both sides. I bought this as a gift and I can't wait to give it! December 5, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by very useful smaller coffee table I needed a less-than-full-size coffee table with a rustic look, for use in a small (10 x 12) spare bedroom that is furnished with a sofa bed and a rustic antique blanket chest. Also, I wanted a table with storage drawers, in this case to store linens for the sofa bed: this is a memory foam mattress design from Crate and Barrel which is in three sections, it does not Z-fold like a traditional sofa bed and thus the mattress pad must be removed when the bed is folded back into sofa configuration. Also, the sofa design fits a queen size sleeper in only 72" of wall space, so I did not have room for an average 53 x 33 coffee table. This table fit nicely in the available space, without creating an obstacle. Extra shipping on this item was substantial, and because it is internet-only, you don't have to option of free in-store pick-up, nor can you see the item in person. It arrived with a few minor chips, despite careful packing, but I opted not to return it and was able to fix the blemishes myself, as another reviewer here also did. Color is a bit darker and grayer than the image appears on a computer screen, which was fine. This is a rustic table you can put your feet up on, which was the whole idea, since the sofa behind it is my favorite reading spot. The two-way drawer (slides to open on both sides) works great for me. I use it to store the mattress pad, comforter cover, bottom sheet, and pillow cases for the sofa bed. The drawer is deep and wide, with room left over. I also store reading glasses and tea lights (for use in votives displayed on the table) in the drawer, and it all fits. An alternative for my space and storage needs would have been the "Roland" coffee table, about the same size with similar storage capability, but it was not offered for sale online at the time I purchased the Ross. Handling charges for the Roland are about fifty dollars less than for the Ross, which may be a factor for someone faced with a choice. As of today, both tables are internet-only, though the Roland is on display in some stores (but no in-store pick-up at our local store). April 15, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Looking Coffee Table. Damaged twice during shipping. It's a nice looking table. The rugged wood surface and the aged look of the door handles give it a cool rustic look. I am not crazy that the drawer can open from both sides. I have to adjust it each time so the drawer would look centered. It's only a minor annoyance. The major trouble I had with the table was the damaged that occurred during shipping and handling, TWICE. The first time the edge of the table was damaged. The second time a 2-inch piece of wood came off from the drawer. I was able to glue the chipped wood back on easily, so I decided to keep the table instead of sending it back again. World Market's customer service was excellent. They were prompt in picking up the table and replacing it with another one. They even gave me a 20% discount. It was an unexpected pleasant surprise. Also, there was no assembly required for the table, which is super nice. April 13, 2014
