I ordered 2 of these end tables. I consider myself handy and have put together many furniture pieces in the past, but one of these end tables took 2 hours to build. Not that it was complex, but because the the pre-drilled slots do not line up with the corresponding pieces. I ended up having to drill some of my own holes to attach pieces together because they were so far off of were they should be. It was so difficult to build, that I returned the second one.
Forget what everybody else says on these reviews, a blind monkey could put this table together. If you've got an Allen wrench driver bit and a small Phillips head screw bit this thing goes together in five minutes. Looks great too. For $72 it was a deal!
After reading some of the "less than good" reviews for this end table I considered buying the Madera end table. It had great reviews, so I stopped by the store to take a look. The Madera end table seemed to be less durable than the Roland. I then decided to take a chance on the Roland (although the reviews stated that it was a nightmare to put together). Those who stated that it was horrible to assemble must just have had bad luck, because my table assembled in less than 30 minutes without any problem. The parts of the table were in perfect condition, and I didn't need to re-drill any holes. In addition, both the Roland Coffee table and the Roland Console table have great reviews (both of which come from the same manufacturer as the end table). So if you've been dissuaded from buying the Roland end table, please re-consider. It's a great table!
