This product makes two regular sized waffles. It's similar to one I had back in the 1970's. It plugs in, there is an indicator light to tell you it's hot. You pour in batter and close the lid. You can only use a small amount of batter or it leaks out the edges. The product is teflon coated so it can be cleaned, but the waffle plates do not remove. There is no automatic shut off. It's not dishwasher safe. For those kinds of features you need a more modern appliance. If you are looking for a small waffle maker it works fine.

I was so disappointed in this retro waffle maker. It's very cute and compact - but didn't heat up enough to actually cook the waffles! I tried leaving the waffles in a long time - they never did get crisp on the outside. Made extra special yeast-based waffle recipe and was excited to try this new waffle iron - but sadly disappointed.
Returned it. Cute but non-fuctional for what I want in a waffle!
