Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for Storing Spices Very reasonably sized. The magnets are quite strong and stick to a fridge easily and easy enough to remove from the fridge. And if you want to stack them instead of sticking them to something magnetic they are uniform in size and stack easily. I like that it has multiple ways to get the spices: a hole to sprinkle from, a hole to pour from, and of course taking the top off of and using measuring spoons. Got them for Christmas. Liked them enough to order another set. February 26, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cheaper AND nicer than the DIY version! I LOVE these spice containers! I've been keeping an eye on the DIY versions for a while now and I actually purchased the materials to do it but the containers I received were not what I had in mind. In my search for better ones, I found these - scratch that DIY project! I returned all the materials except for some chalkboard labels and bought these instead. The lids are nice and secure - easy enough to turn with resistance but tight enough that they won't accidentally pop off when you take them off of the refrigerator (or whatever surface you put them on). The holes are all the right size for practical use and the lid is much easier to remove if I need to take out a larger quantity - definitely easier than trying to see if the 1/2 teaspoon will fit inside of a narrow spice jar. I've already gotten tons of compliments on my new spice "rack" and I am really enjoying that extra cabinet space. The magnets are definitely strong enough for spices. The only one that's given me trouble is the sea salt because it is so heavy - it still works, but it isn't quite as secure and tends to slip down a bit when I close the refrigerator door. The sea salt is in a silver spice container while the rest of them are red - the red ones seem to have a slightly stronger magnet, but not by much. Overall I am very, very pleased! June 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exactly what I needed Great find and they work perfectly. Great way to save space and display. Also, great that they have different colors, I mixed red and silver ones. I would be careful when washing. I wash these by hand, all 3 parts (lid, window, bottom) with no issues. February 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by It is what it is (plus it matches my other kitchen stuff) Red. Check! Magnetic. Check! Spice storage. Check! Tin. Check! Enough said. But I'll go on. 1. There is a window so you can see the contents inside 2. There are 3 ways to get to the spices/teas/herbs inside. 3. You can store other things i.e. office supplies 4. It is very nifty to have so handy (my fridge is right beside my food preparing counter which is right beside my oven and stove. May 27, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love these, but not for larger spices I recently redid my mess of a spice cabinet and went the magnetic route and I am loving it. These spice tins are perfect for things that you want to have the option of just sprinkling out, or using the larger hole to measure out. These are especially useful for powdery things like garlic powder, things that would make a mess if you were to completely remove the lid. I have discovered they don't work great for Italian-type spices, I still have to remove the whole lid, as those just don't sprinkle. But, for smaller spices they are the best! July 18, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good product overall The tins work well and are aesthetically pleasing though you have to be a bit careful with them. They can bend out of shape with too much force. Also, the manufacturer may change from year to year (they are only sold during the summer for some reason) so if you're OCD about having the same type of tins buy them all at once. June 20, 2014
