After years and years of trying to making coffee using crazy college methods that included cups, strainers, filters, lots of pouring and LOTS of time, I finally gave in and bought one of these when they were on sale and I am glad I did.
I've only made 4 batches (2 cups per each) so far, but this thing is a million times easier than my cheapskate college kid method. It is easy overall as well. Take the press out, put grounds in, put hot water in, stir and wait, press the press, pour your coffee. Easy peasy.
It can make 8-4oz cups (or 4 - 8 oz cups, cause I mean seriously who drinks only 4 ounces of coffee...?), but like I mentioned earlier I only make 2 cups at a time.
My only complaint is cleaning the bottom metal mesh filter thing. The grounds get caught between the two metal things which makes it difficult to clean and nobody wants old grounds in their coffee. Or at least I don't.

I don't know what all the fuss is about. This is my second press of this type. The first was put on the stove by accident to heat the coffee!!!! Needless to say it was a mess. I grind my coffee a little fine because I like the slurry on the bottom of the cup, and I have never had a grounds problem. After reading the reviews for the black model, I decided to write this. I am ordering a third, as a backup, since they have a special coupon going on right now.
