they are adorable in person! little smaller then i expected and smaller then the clear ones i bought from a diff place but the salt jar has a red line of paint on the "lid" part, i put it that way because how it looks like the lid should come off, it does not. You put the salt/pepper in the whole at the bottom but deff worth it! Wont be using them till we move in in a few weeks but cannot wait to get the whole set! Reminds me of all the mason jars i painted red for my wedding!! <3

Not sure if I received a defective product, but the "salt" and "mason" in the salt shaker are barely visible. The pepper shaker is fine though. I was going to give as a gift to someone, but I wouldn't want to receive something that looks like this. I wish the people that pack and ship products would make sure they are not defective first.
