Red Khadi Table Linens Collection

Why We Love It

Crafted in India exclusively for World Market, our Red Khadi Table Linens Collection is made from 100% hand-spun, hand-woven cotton. The richly dyed cotton is spun into threads on a spinning wheel called a charkha, creating this lovely backdrop for your table setting. In the 1920s, Mahatma Gandhi began promoting khadi, which literally means cotton in Indian, as a means to strengthen India's economy. It holds a sentimental value for Indians to this day.
