I bought this table online, without seeing it and it's exactly what I expected. It's very sturdy and beautiful. Easily seats 6 (I'm using windsor chairs) without the extension and will safely seat 8 with it. If shipped to the home, it does require assembly and will take at least 2 people because it is SUPER heavy. We only had 2 people and it was fine. If you have wood floors, due to the weight, I recommend putting felt on the bottom of the legs before you assemble because it will be practically impossible to do after it's upright. We were so nervous when the table arrived. Myself and 2 daughters assembled this 278 pound, rustic table with no problem other than a little muscle (we're all light weights too!) Probably the worst issue was the cardboard packaging which basically was awkward. Assembly took less than an hour. We later bought our 10 chairs from Overstock during cyber sales(We already had four additional). When all was completed we added a 2"x6"x6' piece of barn wood as a centerpiece with rustic mason jar lighting. The completed look was something right out of a high end photo shoot that you've likely seen in Architectural Digest Magazine.I am SooOO over the top pleased with this heirloom piece of furniture. Definitely furniture to share with generations to come. The quality is over the top. Dare to compare with any others. I am sOoOo pleased.You will not regret this purchase for lifetimes to come!!

And I am not exaggerating! This is the third World Market table I've purchased and the best. Yes it is extremely heavy, but we never really needed to move it after the initial setup. And even if we do, we already installed heavy pads under the legs so we can push the table around without damaging the floor. For the price, the quality can't be beat. The design looks similar to Restoration Hardware but only a fraction of the cost. The finish is rustic but no worries of splinters. Shipping was a little slow but acceptable. I can continue this "...but..." pattern but I think'll stop right here. Get this and you won't be disappointed. I paired it with a Francis bench from World Market and the color is a great match. The leather arm chairs are from West Elm. Just measure your room really well since this one is just a tad big for my room. Because the wide arm chairs can't be pushed in from either side, we always have to squeeze ourselves to get to the other side.

We LOVE our Greyson! We can finally fit all the adults at one table. We get compliments from literally every person who comes over. We keep the leaf in and it looks dramatic. I dropped a heavy metal bar on it and there's a 1" scratch on the leaf, but you can't even tell because it already has a distressed look. My girlfriend loved ours so much she purchased one too! She is waiting for hers to arrive. I would buy this again if something happened to mine.
We did purchase different chairs from another company and I will have to say they are too low for the table. don't know if the table is too high or the chairs too low, but they look great together.

We ordered this table about a month ago and have loved it. The legs are very thick and chunky and totally make the table. The table is very heavy and well made. Be careful moving it around and have someone help you. Took about 30 minutes to assemble.
We opted for the extension version. Our only complaint was that the leaf isn't stored in the table. So we have to store the heavy leaf in a spare bedroom. But other than that, we love everything about it.
There is a slight wood texture to the top of the table, it is not completely smooth, in case you were wondering.
It arrives darker than the picture.
The table and legs were packaged well, but there was a scuff on the top of the table. We called customer service and they resolved the issue quickly.
My friends are all envious of my new table and I have gotten lots of compliments on it!

It's beautiful! I wouldn't want any other table! I just wish chairs weren't so expensive!! LOL
As soon as I purchased the table the chairs I wanted were no longer on sale :(

I love this table - it's the perfect size without the leaf for my dining room, but does extend for more guests if needed. I can fit 8 without the leaf (2 seated at heads, and 3 on each side). One downside is that the head chairs will have a hard time 'tucking in' because of the leg posts being pretty close together. We don't mind because we have room for some larger chairs that are prettier NOT tucked in. We did leave the trestle off of it when assembling because we didn't want to deal with feet hitting the bar - it is plenty stable, and the trestle isn't needed if you don't want it.
It is much darker than the rustic java fixed table I saw in store, which I was hoping for but it would be nice to have it on display so people know what they're getting. The distressing is the perfect amount, and it's a true java brown.
The only other downside is that the leaf does not store within the table - and it's large/heavy. Luckily we have a closet to store it in the back of, but just an FYI to people who asked. Overall, love the table especially for the price - cannot beat.

I have been planning on purchasing the Greyson table for quite a while. I am so pleased that I waited, as I would prefer the extension table for my small dining space.
This table is gorgeous, affordable and super easy to assemble! You cannot beat the price/quality
I only needed help getting it out of the box and flipping it over once it was assembled. The assembly only took about 20 minutes.
