I spent part of my life in the U.K. and every Christmas Quality Street was one of our families favorite choices. Good selection and value.
I had high hopes for these based on the reviews and the description on the tin that says "chocolates and toffees". While the chocolate is good quality, I was not expecting an assortment of filled chocolates (not a fan of the orangy flavor of many). Shame on me if toffee is actually caramel in the UK, because many are caramel filled or just wrapped caramel. They are tasty just not what I was wanting.
Quality Street has become a Christmas tradition at our house. I love these chocolates and caramels. Delicious!
Very hard to find these chocolates in America, normally I just bring some back whenever I go back to England. I got them on sale when they also had free shipping, so it was a great deal, well worth it.
Agree with the previous reviewer: English chocolate is so much better than American chocolate. Maybe it's because that's what we had when I was a kid. Disappointed that it's not online, as I checked at the store; they're out of it, too.
This candy is just as my husband remembers it as a child. The graphics on the tin are the same and it was a great surprise for him on Christmas. "Where did you ever find this?", he said. Thank you, world market!
Sometimes European chocolate is so much better. This is one item I haven't had for over 20 years and I'm pleased that it's still just as delicious to me as it was when I was a kid. Actually, more so. I think because I appreciate it more compared to American chocolate. I'm disappointed that it's not currently offered online :( I was able to get one last week, and coming back tonight to do the same thing, it's currently only in-store.
