I'd be happier if these tiny lamps came with a lampshade- but it's really cute! I selected the green paisley shade. We've got this in the den and it's perfect for the owl lover.

I bought this lamp as a cute addition for my kitchen, and it goes perfectly! I have it by my phone and it looks adorable. It was just as I expected and exactly as pictured.

Pros: Looks great on a small bedside table or dresser; cute design that goes well with any shade type or color; I personally think the color of this base is accurately described--"antique bronze" is generally near-black in color, which is what this base is.
Cons: This base is so light that even a slight tug on the cord (such as what you do to turn the lamp off or on) moves it significantly.

It's hard to find a small size lamp that appropriate for the top of a mantel or on top of a chest. We paired it with the shade that has gold bands and small black polka dots. Looks great!

I bought this from the store today. It is definitely more black than bronze. Just wanted to concur with the other reviewer in case people out there in internet land are wondering. It seems sturdy enough but it is not completely solid or anything.

I'm overall happy with the quality of this lamp base. The only thing that I was disappointed with was the color. The cast iron/copper color is hardly apparent, at least in the lamp I received. The color is black which doesn't match my decor.
