Why We Love It

Opera Prima Tempranillo charms with aromas of dried cherry, coffee and cassis that open on the palate to reveal sour cherry, tobacco, plums and spicy flavors. A terrific food wine that's also an incredible value for the price, this 100% Tempranillo sings when paired with grilled seafood, pork, roasted chicken or pasta with vegetables.

So Delicious...how is it at this price? This is the most delicious tempranillo I've ever had, and I just stumbled upon it dumb luck! Can you believe this is only [$] a bottle? It smells so good, is smooth and the longer it breathes, the more delicious it becomes! No hangover, must be low on tannins, not sure, but my new best friend. I am not an expert at wine and new to reds but this is by far my best find!I have already recommended this to a friend! March 27, 2012
A Rare Gem of a Wine There isn't enough I can say about this wine. It's fruity, packed with flavor and so smooth and very versatile when it comes to pairing with food. But my only issue is that it is available for just short amounts of time at the store and then it goes away and you never know when or if it will be available again. But I suppose you should stock up while you can. I usually purchase a case of it and it keeps me satisfied quite nicely lol. March 21, 2011
Bravo!! This is a great wine at a GREAT price point. I purchased 2010 which is young yet holds it's own. Was first introduced to this wine by an employee at the Dallas Galleria store. He assured me the wine was better than the price. He was right. Went back the next week and bought 2 cases. Served at a wedding reception and at a dinner party. The smooth young palate as well as the spicey nose is perfect for the novice or the connoisseur March 26, 2012
Worst Tempranillo I've had It was cheap, but it did not taste like tempranillo. Spend a couple bucks more and get anything other than this one. May 18, 2012
